New management of the Brunner company

In 1935, our founders Hans Brunner and Thomas Hauner registered a business for the production of confectionery supplies in Munich. Due to a lack of space, they soon had to look for another suitable production site and found one in Glonn, just outside of Munich, where we still manufacture our wares today. Our success story began in an unused barn, which Brunner’s employees at the time worked tirelessly to refurbish. Even back then, our key strengths were expertise, teamwork, commitment and reliability.

In 1980, the company was handed over to the young Rudi Schwaiger by his uncle, and he became Managing Director and owner of Hans Brunner GmbH, remaining in this role for a number of decades. Today, the company has a manufacturing space of more than 8,500 square metres, where we produce our range of plastic components.

Six high-precision injection moulding machines and several thermopresses enable optimum management of our production process and allow us to produce sophisticated chocolate moulds of the highest quality. By 2005, we employed around 120 specialists to develop and produce our chocolate moulds on a single production site and to market our products internationally.

Markus Gebhardt joined us in 2006 as a Managing Director to provide support with the activities of Hans Brunner GmbH. His work over the years has been outstanding and he has brought huge benefits to our company. His activities in sales and marketing have enabled us to expand our business and to enter new markets.

2024 has seen a significant change in our ownership structure. Rudi Schwaiger, who has up until now been Managing Director and owner of the company, is stepping away from both management and ownership to hand over the reins to his children.

The course was set back in 2019 when Stephanie and Christoph Schwaiger were given shares in the company, and the development has now been brought to a conclusion five years later. Rudi Schwaiger is departing, and the next generation are taking over. Both have held managerial roles in the company for many years and have long since demonstrated their innovative strength and reliability.
Christoph Schwaiger will become a Managing Director in 2024, working alongside Mr Gebhart. Mr Schwaiger is well qualified and the ideal candidate for this position, with a degree in Information Technology (IT) and many years of experience in various managerial roles in the company. With his friendly and competent manner, he is predestined to master even the most complex of tasks.

After having completed an apprenticeship at Brunner to qualify as an industrial clerk and gained a degree in Business Administration in Munich, Stephanie Schwaiger spent a number of years working in accounting and controlling. She focuses in particular on international payment transactions, debt collection and the management of properties. From 2024 onwards, she will work independently as a controller and will report to the Managing Directors.

It is important to stress at this point that Hans Brunner GmbH will still operate as a family business. Personal commitment and individual responsibility will continue to shape the company's fortunes. Our excellent relationships with our customers and suppliers and our absolute adherence to our deadlines are demonstrated on a daily basis. We now have nine injection moulding machines, making us ideally equipped to deliver the best possible quality.
